Import from Juniper Mist (Beta)
The Import from Juniper Mist feature streamlines the discovery and management of Juniper Mist cloud-managed network infrastructure. By connecting securely to the Mist Cloud API using a saved credential, this function automates the import of Organizations, Sites, Access Points, Switches, and Security Appliances (Mist gateways) into Virima's asset management system, following the same overall pattern as the existing Meraki, Cato Networks, AWS, and Azure cloud-import integrations.
| This module is currently labeled Beta, so behavior may change in a future release. |
Pre-requisites
Before importing from Juniper Mist, ensure the following are in place:
-
Juniper Mist Account. A valid Juniper Mist account with the Organizations, Sites, and Network Devices to import into Virima.
-
API Token. A Juniper Mist API token generated in the Mist portal. The token determines which Organizations and Sites Virima can discover.
-
API Endpoint. The Mist regional API endpoint for the account.
-
Juniper Mist Credential in Virima. A configured Juniper Mist credential under Admin > Credentials, storing the End Point and API Key. See Configuring Juniper Mist Credentials.
Scope of this release. WLANs, Clients, Alarms, and AI Insights (Marvis) are planned for a future release and are not imported as standalone CIs today.
