Juniper Mist Import (Beta)

Juniper Mist import jobs can be scheduled to run automatically on a recurring basis, keeping the CMDB current without manual effort. Refer to Import from Juniper Mist for details on the credential, the data retrieved, and how records are moved into the CMDB.

Access via Discovery Scan > Scheduled Scans and Imports and select the Juniper Mist option at the top of the page.

Adding a Juniper Mist Schedule

  1. At the top of Scheduled Scans and Imports, choose Juniper Mist > Select Actions > Add.

  2. Fill in the schedule details:

    • Name (required): e.g., Mist Nightly Import.

    • Credential (required): Select the Juniper Mist credential. The Organization and Site scope is inherited automatically from the credential's token, so no scope selection is required.

    • Frequency (required): Choose how often the import runs: every 6 hours, daily, or weekly (with customization).

    • Toggle Active to ON. This must be ON to trigger automatically.

  3. Click Save. When active, the schedule fires automatically on the configured cadence.

Note:

Failed scheduled runs appear in the import list with the same status display as manual imports. The Imported By value shows the user who configured the schedule.

Delete a Juniper Mist schedule

  1. Tick the checkbox for each Juniper Mist schedule you want to remove.

  2. Select Actions > Delete.

  3. In Delete Confirmation, type Delete exactly, then click Delete.

  4. The selected rows disappear from the grid. No further imports run from that schedule, but an import already in progress at the time of deletion is allowed to complete.

Juniper Mist is currently labeled Beta. Import status, errors, and skipped records for a run are available in the import log.
