Asset Details (Details Tab)
The Details tab shows the complete Configuration Item inventory. The fields displayed vary by blueprint type:
-
Organizations. Recorded as a Mist Organization CI.
-
Mist Site. Site identifiers, location, and attributes: Site ID, Organization ID, Address, Country, and Time Zone.
-
Access Point / Switch / Security Appliance. Device identity (name, model, MAC/IP), connectivity, and the latest device statistics captured for that device during the import. For switches, connected hosts are shown in the Wired Client tab.
Common fields captured for every device include Device Serial Number, External ID, Model Number, Device Name, MAC Address, IP Address, Device Status, Firmware Revision, Organization/Site ID, Hardware Revision, and Last Connected. A failure retrieving one device type (for example, Switches) does not stop the import of the other types.
For Switch devices, the import also captures the switch's assigned fabric role from the Juniper Mist Fabric (for example, Core, Access, or Service Block Border) as a Switch Role property. This role carries over to the CMDB when you move the switch, and updates automatically the next time the switch is re-imported if its role changes in Juniper Mist.
Device statistics are captured during import to reflect current device health and state, but are not promoted as standalone CMDB CI types. They are attributes of the Network Device CI. WLANs, Clients, Alarms, and AI Insights (Marvis) are deferred to a future release.
| Once moved to the CMDB, an Access Point, Switch, or Security Appliance imported from Juniper Mist uses the same blueprint as a device from any other source. There is currently no property or indicator on the CI identifying it as Juniper Mist-sourced. |
