Switch Scan Software Version and Hostname Fix
SNMP switch scans were previously failing to retrieve the correct software version and hostname because of missing or incorrectly mapped OIDs, resulting in blank or inaccurate values in the CMDB. The SNMP sensor logic has been corrected to query the proper OIDs and map the returned values accurately. Software Version and Host Name are now populated reliably after scanning.
Where the fix appears
The corrected switch data is visible in the following locations:
| Location | What changed |
|---|---|
| CMDB > Switch CI > Detail page | Software Version and Host Name fields now display accurate data. |
| Reports | Network device reports show complete version and hostname data. |
Procedure
Complete the following step after upgrading to v6.1.2 to refresh existing switch data.
-
Re-scan network switches.
Trigger a re-scan to fetch the corrected data. The SNMP sensor fix takes effect automatically; no configuration changes are needed.
