Discovery Application Stability with Multiple Connected Agents
In environments where multiple agents uploaded large scan results simultaneously, the Discovery Application could intermittently disconnect and restart due to communication handling under load. This caused delayed heartbeats, missed scheduled tasks, and unreliable scan-result delivery. Communication handling between the Discovery Application and the Discovery Server has been enhanced to remain stable under heavy agent activity. The Discovery Application now stays responsive when several agents upload large results at the same time, preventing unnecessary service restarts and ensuring that heartbeats, scheduled tasks, and scan results are delivered reliably.
Where the improvement appears
The improved stability is visible in the following locations:
| Location | What changed |
|---|---|
| Discovery Application stability | No more intermittent disconnects or service restarts when multiple agents upload large scan results simultaneously. |
| Heartbeats and scheduled tasks | Agent communication remains healthy under load; heartbeats and scheduled tasks are no longer affected by heavy upload activity. |
| Scan-result delivery | Scan results are delivered more reliably in high-concurrency agent environments. |
Note: No action is required. The improvement takes effect automatically after upgrading the Discovery Application. No configuration changes are needed.
