When does this apply as ITIL is not used?

Virima facilitates the design, transition and operation of a reliable SKMS that supports secure, versioned service management structures that integrates with other modules (alerts, events, incidents, service requests, problems, known errors, normal changes, standard changes, change & releases) in CMDB.

Use this function to trigger a knowledge from configuration item details.

1. From the navigation pane, select ITSM > Configuration Management > Configuration Items. The Configuration Items window displays.
2. Select a record in the list. A new windows displays with the Details tab selected by default.
3. Click the ITIL tab. A list of subtabs displays.
4. Click the Knowledge tab.
5. ???
